The High Frontier's admission process is individualized and operates on an on-going basis. Each student’s information packet is team-reviewed to determine whether we can provide appropriate services to meet the student’s needs. We carefully review psychosocial history, problem behaviors, strengths, diagnoses, psychological and educational records and assessments to determine whether we are the appropriate placement for each student. We also encourage a tour by the family prior to placement, if possible.
The essential question we must ask and answer for admission is whether our group-oriented treatment milieu is appropriate for the student, based on the information we have available at the time of admission. To answer this question we must determine whether the student has the ability and temperament to communicate, function and change within a group-oriented environment. The High Frontier charges $6,000 per month for families paying directly for services. Our monthly rate includes all in-house costs related to treatment, room and board, and all activities. The only additional charges that may be
billed are for outside psychological or academic assessment and evaluation (needed in relatively few cases), and parental requests for transportation to or from the Midland or El Paso airports as staff availability permits. NOTICE OF NONDISCRIMINATION POLICY The High Frontier, Inc., Inc. admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered
program. The High Frontier is a non-profit educational and social learning environment for adolescents. Click here for our ENROLLMENT FORM (PDF) |
